if you trance with drugs you meet alien nation beings, those are the beings who are the patriarchal beings of weapons and destruction. One can reach nirvana without illusion causing substances. Seattle Shaman
I completely agree, sober trancing is the experience to it's fullest, but hallucinogens such as lsd and psilocybin are quite enhancing and help those who are not at the mental level to handle trancing sober to participate. Many of the elements of psychedelic transe such as the decorations are often inspired by halluiconegens too...
i have dedicated myself to the path of self realization and spiritual enlightenment, and do not take any form of intoxication.
however, i have participated in organised LSD 'experiments', danced on trips and liked psytrance/ambient music very much.
I now understand that psychoactive substances do indeed end up clouding ones spiritual vision.
i once heard an analogy of a prisoner sitting in a jail cell. there is only one small window in the cell, and his only view of the outside world is from looking out of this tiny window. the heightened consciousness that one experiences in a (real) trip is compared to a single brick being removed next to the window, thus making it marginally bigger. the prisoner is very amazed and happy to have this greater view of the real world. But, actually, he is still not seeing very much. true spiritual enlightenment is compared to the prisoner being released from the jail cell, and being able to freely experience life in full.
anyway, the reason i write is because i like psy trance/ambient music very much and am interested in trying to make some (similar) music one day. so, i am wondering if any one is actually able to make it without the help of psychedelics? it would be interesting and inspiring to see if others are able to make it without the help of chemical 'enhancements'. if you know of any artists, please let me know their names, etc.
Thanks,
O.
